This 3-unit building was the original Sanderson Academy, but not the original location. According to a history of the building, Mary Lyon, the founder of Mount Holyoke College, was a pupil and taught in this building. This is a three-unit building in a central town location close to a popular recreation spot, Ashfield Lake. There is also a brook right behind it.
